Our journey
How LioByte came to be.
Every company starts somewhere.
Ours did not start with a pitch deck.
It started with a problem we kept seeing.
Our founder, Agam Shah, spent 12+ years building software before starting LioByte.
- Built AI product search for global ecommerce platforms at Klevu.
- Designed search pipelines handling more than 10 million records a day.
- Shipped semantic search, recommendations and NLP discovery with GenAI.
- Built multi language, multi currency B2B search with Java, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch and Solr.
- Worked on the Infosys DevSecOps platform.
- Saw projects that worked, and projects that stalled.
And we had watched what clients kept missing.
Across 12 years in software, we kept seeing the same thing. Businesses with good ideas felt shut out once they handed the work to a software vendor.
- Transparency was rare.
- Ethics came second.
- Delivery often fell short.
- Code quality and architecture were often skipped.
- Technical guidance and expert advice were hard to find.
- Long term product and growth planning was often overlooked.
So in January 2025, we started LioByte.
